We built Vamozy because we were the one who forgot to book the Airbnb.

Four tabs. Whole trip handled.

Vamozy trip overview: Cabo 2026, 12 days, $2.1k pooled, crew status

Overview

See everything at a glance. Who's paid, what's booked, when you leave.

Tab 1 of 4

The crew votes.
No more lobbying in the group chat.

Anyone can propose an excursion: snorkeling, ATV tour, yacht day. Everyone votes yes / maybe / no. Your yes is your bill, so there's skin in the game. The 5am yoga gets voted out. Cabo Pulmo leads with 5 yes. Done.

Money pooled.
Not chased.

Pay into one pot via Stripe, held in escrow until the organizer spends it, refundable if the trip cancels. Or skip Stripe entirely and track Venmo / Zelle / Cash App payments manually. Either way, Vamozy knows exactly who's paid and who's ghost.

Honest answers

Questions people actually ask.

Do my friends need to create an account?
No. Send them the link, they tap it, they're in. They can see the trip, vote on excursions, and check who owes what without ever signing up. Account creation only kicks in if they want to pay into the pool or claim a task.
Is this just Splitwise with extra steps?
No. Splitwise is a calculator. You add expenses after the trip and it tells you who owes who. Vamozy is the whole arc: vote before you go, pool money in escrow, track who's booking what, then settle at the end with the fewest possible transfers. Different tool for a different moment.
What does it actually cost?
Planning is free. Invites are free. Voting, booking tasks, settle-up math: all free. We charge 1.5% only when someone funds the trip pool with a card via Stripe. Use Venmo or Zelle and pay nothing.
What if someone can't go and wants their money back?
If they paid into the Stripe pool, the organizer can issue a refund with one tap. Pro-rata, back to their card. If someone paid via Venmo or Cash App directly, that's between them and the group (Vamozy tracks it but doesn't hold those funds).
What about Wanderlog or TripIt?
Wanderlog is a great map and itinerary tool for solo or couple travel. It doesn't handle money, voting, or who-owes-what. TripIt is for organizing your own bookings. Neither is built for the messy reality of a group trip where six people have six opinions and someone always forgets to Venmo back.
What happens if the trip cancels?
The organizer taps Refund. Stripe returns each person's contribution pro-rata. We built this before launch because we've lived the nightmare of a trip falling apart and trying to chase down $600 across six Venmo requests.
Where does Vamozy run?
Entirely on Cloudflare: Workers for the API, D1 for the database, Durable Objects for real-time sync. No servers waiting to spin up, no cold starts. Fast everywhere your crew is.

The group chat has 4,732 messages. The trip still isn't planned.
